According to information available from College Board, there are currently 3 scheduled SAT test dates for 2024 (so far), which Iโve provided in the table below.

Itโs important to keep in mind that these dates are not official & subject to change, but based on test dates from previous years, these dates are a sure bet:

How To Register For The SAT
To register for the SAT, you will need a College Board account. If you don’t have one, it’s easy to create. Just go to the College Board website and click on ‘Sign Up’. You’ll need to provide some basic information like your name, date of birth, high school, etc. Make sure all the information is accurate because it will appear on your SAT score report.
Keep in mind that you will also need a photo ID and a photograph of yourself that is suitable for uploading to the registration website. It’s also necessary to have a printer available to print your SAT admission ticket. Without a valid ID and a printed copy of your ticket, entry to the test center will be denied.

SAT Accommodations Deadlines For 2024

When Is The Best Time To Take The SAT?
I usually recommend to my students to take the SAT in the Spring of their junior year; so, if youโre a junior going into 2024, then youโll definitely wnat to take the exam in either March, May, or June. If itโs your first time taking the SAT, then I recommend taking it twice in this time period so that you can reap the benefits of super scoring.

For example, if youโre someone who struggles with test-taking, the it may be beneficial for you to the SAT sooner than your junior year so that you can get more experience & familiarity with the exam.

However, I typically recommend to begin preparing 3 to 6 months before the test date. So, if youโre planning on taking the SAT in March of 2024, then you should already be getting started on your SAT preparation. If you feel that youโre behind on your planning, then I recommend partnering with an SAT tutor to help supplement your preparation ahead of your 2024 SAT test date.
