Biography
Kevin is currently a medical student at The University of Vermont, Larner College of Medicine. He graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University in Boston with a B.S. in Biochemistry. Originally from Massachusetts, Kevin is currently interviewing for a residency position within internal medicine and aims to land back in Boston.
His tutoring career began in high school, where he helped students achieve academic success within the STEM disciplines โ most notably chemistry, biology, and physics. Engaging his passion for these subjects, he was hired to tutor sections of biochemistry and organic chemistry during his time in college. The culmination of these experiences helped Kevin refine his own study and test taking habits โ resulting in him scoring in the 98% percentile on the CPBS, BBLS, and PSBB sections of his own MCAT.
Kevin has maintained an active tutoring role while in medical school and continues to provide educational support to his peers. He is an active tutor for the USMLE Step 1 exam, and volunteers his time assisting 1st year medical students with clinical biochemistry. Beyond the scope of tutoring, Kevin has published numerous manuscripts and abstracts within per-reviewed journals, and has attended several conferences to disseminate his work. He was also inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AฮฉA) national honor society for medical students this past year.
There exists an ever-growing and daunting body of study materials for the MCAT exam. In this sense, Kevin strives to tailor these resources to the needs of his specific learners. Recognizing that the value of a tutor is not derived merely from the presentation of this content alone, but rather from the way it is conveyed, Kevin prioritizes tailoring his tutoring style to the individuals he serves. Beyond the material alone, his experience with high-stakes tests has equipped him well with an array of test-taking strategies which he is keen and excited to share.
