William Roberts
To me, teaching is all about showing students that no science is outside of their reach.
Biography
A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Brown University, William has spent more than five years helping students develop confidence and mastery in the sciences. While at Brown, he served as the Head Teaching Assistant for General Chemistry, where he guided students through complex scientific concepts and helped them achieve strong academic outcomes.
In addition to his teaching experience, William conducted extensive research in physical chemistry, contributing to the development of innovative laser-based technologies. His research background has reinforced a teaching philosophy centered on breaking down challenging material into clear, manageable concepts that students can truly understand and retain.
William is also a published scientist and poet, with work appearing in the Journal of the American Chemical Society and The Chrysalism Journal.
William is highly experienced teaching students from 8th grade through college level coursework, and is particularly comfortable supporting students in advanced science classes, including:
Chemistry (Middle School, Honors, AP Chemistry, and College General Chemistry)
Physics
Environmental Science
Earth Science
Scientific Research and Laboratory Skills
Study Skills and Test Preparation for Science Courses
He is especially sought after for his ability to teach AP Physics and AP Chemistry, helping students strengthen both content knowledge and test-taking strategies.
