Alex Whalen

Alex began his work as a one-on-one tutor while completing his MA and PhD in Political Science at Boston University. His initial focus as a tutor was on the alphabet soup of standardized tests, but when he discovered he often enjoyed his time one-on-one with students more than his work as a lecturer, he quickly expanded his work to include academic support for middle and high school students in a wide array of subjects. Since then, Alex has tutored thousands of students to success at the secondary school and college levels, including several perfect scores on the LSAT and GMAT.

Alex moved to the mountains of Colorado in the summer of 2022 where he now lives full time. Given Leadville’s central location in the heart of the Colorado Rockies, he is available for in-person tutoring in Aspen, Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, and the various other resorts in the central mountains.
