MIDDLE LEVEL ISEE PREP
Standardized tests aren’t fun for anybody. We’ve learned over the years, though (37 of them, to be exact – not that we’re bragging), that the younger a student is, the more they need individual attention. Fewer years in school means a higher likelihood of content gaps and less experience with test-taking, which can make the ISEE an intimidating proposition for a sixth or seventh grader.
That’s why all of our Middle Level ISEE programs are one-on-one and fully customized to the individual student’s needs. Your expert tutor will find exactly the right blend of content and strategy to help your kid reach their best score and get into their best school. This test is hard, but we can make it feel easy.
Areas we serve
Online tutoring is available for US residents for all levels of the SSAT and ISEE, and worldwide for the Upper Level SSAT and ISEE.
Online sessions take place using Lessonspace, an easy-to-use distance-learning platform that allows the student and tutor to share screens, videos, documents, collaborative whiteboards, and more.
Online one-on-one prep starts at $250/hr. We customize our work to the unique needs of each student, so we require no upfront commitment of hours. You pay only for the sessions you schedule, and you are billed only after those sessions have been completed. There are no fees for changing or cancelling an appointment so long as any changes are made more than 24 hours in advance.

The Structure of the Test is the challenge of the test
Although many of the concepts on the ISEE will be familiar to most students, the formats in which they appear will be new to every student: intimidating question-types like Quantitative Comparisons ramp up the difficulty level of the test. With proper instruction and practice, students can learn to master these unique features and maximize their scores.
Optimizing Your Testing SChedule
The ISEE testing schedule is unlike any other. It used to be that students could only take the test once every school year, but fortunately that is no longer the case. The ISEE now allows students to test once every four-month period, but to make this change work to your advantage, you'll need to carefully plan your test prep and testing dates well in advance.
Scoring: WHAT EVEN IS A ‘STANINE’, ANYWAY?
The ISEE scoring system may seem overwhelming, and it is definitely...complicated (to put it nicely!). Fortunately, we have a black belt in this test, and we’re here to give you an outline of the most important things to know. From raw score to percentiles, from stanines to super-scores and more, we've got you covered.
