True Haynes

Roster Full

True got his start tutoring when a couple of his high-school classmates needed help passing AP Calculus. He quickly realized that he had both a knack for teaching and a passion for mathematical concepts. True continued to offer help to classmates throughout high-school and university, and after graduating from university with a physics degree, he decided to turn his passion into a career and teach high school physics and math. After working in both classroom and one-on-one settings, he soon realized that his real passion was one-on-one instruction. For more, see the complete bio below.

Tutor Bio

True got his start tutoring when a couple of his high-school classmates needed help passing AP Calculus. He quickly realized that he had both a knack for teaching and a passion for mathematical concepts. True continued to offer help to classmates throughout high-school and university, and after graduating from university with a physics degree, he decided to turn his passion into a career and teach high school physics and math. After working in both classroom and one-on-one settings, he soon realized that his real passion was one-on-one instruction.

At Inspirica, True mainly works with students on the SSAT, ISEE, SAT, and ACT tests, and also tutors high school math and physics. Outside of Inspirica, he works with students studying for their HISET exams. His favorite subjects to tutor are AP Calculus and AP Physics. He prides himself on being able to tailor his instruction to each student’s unique learning style.

True’s favorite aspect of tutoring is helping to build up his students’ confidence in their abilities. To him there is no better feeling in the world than to see a kid’s eyes light up as they accomplish something that they previously thought was impossible. His proudest tutoring moment was when he helped one of his 6th grade ISEE students improve her scores from the 40th-50th percentile range to the 80th-90th percentile range. The look of joy and gratification on her face will stay with him forever.

When he is not tutoring, True is typically spending time outdoors with his fiancé and his dog, Samson. He grew up in Washington DC and moved to Albany, NY a few months ago, where he has been taking advantage of the incredible hiking and camping Upstate NY has to offer. True and his fiancé are currently attempting to hike all 46 of the high peaks in the Adirondacks, though this will likely take years. He also enjoys gaming, playing sports, and watching good TV.
