Sometimes too much of one thing — even a good thing — can be counterproductive. Case in point: everybody likes hot food, but there’s a reason that blonde kid from the fairy tale didn’t opt for the boiling bowl of porridge when she burgled the bears’ house. In test prep, just like with porridge, balance is key — and that’s exactly why we designed Dynamic Prep.
This four-unit, twelve-lesson course combines on-demand video instruction, small-group classes, and one-on-one coaching in juuussst the right blend to create the most comprehensive and engaging prep available — all for under $2000!
UNIT ONE: LEARNING THE CORE STRATEGIES
In this unit, you’ll alternate between watching videos from the on-demand library and meeting with a tutor, and along the way you’ll complete your first two official practice tests. Our goal here is to introduce you to the core strategies in each section and get you comfortable using them in your work. This unit typically takes about four weeks to complete, but it can be done more quickly or slowly depending on your individual needs.
UNIT TWO: CRAFTING A DEVIOUS PLAN OF ATTACK
This portion of the course is about mastery. Here we replace on-demand videos with interactive small-group sessions, alternating that group work with one-on-one tutoring so that you can get individualized feedback as you prep. The workload in Unit Two ramps up a bit, as you’ll complete three full tests in four lessons. This is the unit where students most often slow their pace a bit, usually taking four to six weeks to complete it.
The small-group session schedule varies a bit from week to week depending on holidays and test dates but will typically follow this pattern (all times Eastern) through mid-June of 2021:
- Mondays at 7pm
- Tuesdays at 4pm or 7pm
- Wednesdays at 4pm or 7pm
- Thursdays at 5:30pm
- Fridays at 5:30pm
- Saturdays at 10:30am or 4pm
- Sundays at 6pm
UNIT THREE: ACHIEVING TOTAL TEST DOMINATION
This unit is about actualizing your best test-taking self (or something like that). It consists of two one-on-one sessions, each of which requires you to complete a full practice exam prior to the meeting. During these two sessions, your test prep sensei will work with you to fine-tune your approach and customize the techniques to fit your test-taking strengths & weaknesses.
UNIT FOUR: OPTIONAL SESSIONS AND ADD-ONS
Unit Four, the final unit, gives you a choice: you can return to the classroom to complete two additional small-group sessions at no further charge, or you can purchase additional one-on-one sessions to conclude your work with a more personalized approach (or both!). Both options work equally well to close out your prep, and when the time comes to make that choice, you can talk through your options with a tutor or speak with us by email, phone, or webchat and we’ll get you squared away.
