Cody was born in Boston before eventually moving out to Wellesley for his pre-college days. He helped other classmates, mostly with math homework or English essays, but didn’t start tutoring more formally until college, where he studied math and physics. In college he worked with the educational resource center, tutoring both individuals and groups of up to 3 in math and physics; he also helped assist some TAs in his physics courses. For a while after college, he did some private tutoring before joining Inspirica in 2017.

Overall, Cody enjoys tutoring the mathematical and science based tests and sections the most. He especially enjoys working with students who share his love for these subjects and can have some fun talking about their interesting aspects. What he enjoys most about the job is building connections with students and helping foster a love of learning and a sense of curiosity and inquisitiveness. If he had to pick a particular proudest moment from tutoring, it would be helping a student raise his score from a 30 to a 34 on the ACT; he was proud to see his student’s confidence increase as he mastered the content he had trouble with.
In his free time, Cody likes to check out new places in Boston and Cambridge, an easy trip from his current location in Arlington. He also likes to bike and rock climb, going to the climbing gym multiple times per week and setting up outdoor climbing trips with his friends.
